Higgins on course for a landslide

Sunday Business Post/Red C poll finds Higgins receiving 67 per cent of first preferences, compared with closest rival Gallagher’s 15 per cent

President Michael D Higgins is on course for a landslide victory in next month’s presidential election, according to the latest Sunday Business Post/Red C Poll.

He has a commanding lead over his nearest rival Sean Gallagher, with 67 per cent of those polled saying they would give him their first preference compared with 15 per cent for Gallagher.
