Health chief: ‘Portlaoise patients at risk’ over inaction by minister
Dr Susan O’Reilly has warned that Portlaoise Hospital continues to have “irresolvable clinical risks”
Minister for Health Simon Harris’s failure to engage and address safety concerns at Portlaoise Hospital is putting patients at risk, the hospital group chief and senior doctors in the health service have alleged.
In correspondence to the Department of Health, Dr Susan O’Reilly wrote: “My ability to retain the trust of my staff is being eroded by these delays.”
