More than 2,000 people have called the Rebuilding Ireland Home Loan Scheme helpline and there have been more than 90,000 hits on its website in the two weeks since it was launched

Nearly half of those enquiring about a new government-backed mortgage scheme for first-time buyers are from Dublin, according to new figures.
