Half of IDA properties lie vacant

Data also shows 21 of 32 buildings agency owns itself are empty

Half the properties leased by the IDA are currently vacant, with a quarter of a million square foot of buildings idle.

The IDA leases 56 units from private investors, 28 of which are unoccupied, with 275,870 square foot of the agency’s 837,170 square foot of buildings now empty, according to data on vacant state property obtained by Sinn Féin TD Peadar Tóibín.
