Glass Bottle site needs €22m bridge to build 2,000 homes
Calls for government to step in to alleviate housing shortage
A €22 million bridge is needed to allow for the construction of 2,000 homes on the derelict Irish Glass Bottle site.
There is currently a severe shortage of new homes in Dublin, with just 3,000 built last year even though 35,000 are needed by 2018.
But funds need to be provided for a new bridge to unlock the former Irish Glass Bottle site in Ringsend, which has lain vacant for the past five years.
