The Garda Ombudsman will tomorrow seek a High Court order to access documents relating to a secretly taped meeting in Mullingar between two senior gardaí and whistleblower Maurice McCabe.

The Gsoc investigation is exploring whether the gardaí gave a misleading account of the 2008 meeting to the O’Higgins Commission by allegedly claiming McCabe was motivated by malice.
