Irish tech entrepreneur Paul Kenny and Conor Ridge, Rory McIlroy’s former agent, have invested in Simply Golf, whose web app is designed to connect amateur golfers with golf professionals offering lessons.

Colm Daly, chief executive of Simply Golf, said Ridge and Kenny had invested “supportive amounts” of money in the company, but Daly said that their value was less about their financial backing than their expertise.
