Kevin O'Connell - a legal advisor at the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement – admitted destroying a small number of documents after he was cross-examined by FitzPatrick's lawyers when the trial was before a different judge in April 2015.

He told the jury this afternoon: “It was a time of enormous pressure and I made a dreadful mistake which I admitted to.”
