FIFA officials arrested in corruption probe

Swiss authorities made a wave of new arrests in a US-led corruption probe of international soccer’s governing body, targeting current and former senior FIFA officials on charges that include racketeering, money laundering and fraud.

Some of the arrests were made in pre-dawn raids at the Zurich luxury hotel Baur au Lac where other FIFA officials were arrested in May, the New York Times reports.
