Lobby groups vow to wage public relations war on Ulster Bank

Farming lobbyists are preparing to launch a PR offensive against Ulster Bank if the lender includes what they see as “genuine” debtors in a multibillion sale of toxic debt.

The Irish Farmers’ Association and the Ulster Farmers’ Union are understood to be on the verge of joining forces to prevent the inclusion of the debtors in the loan sale.

A source said both farmer lobby groups will resist “any precipitous action”...
