Fanning receives a pay packet of €1.6m as San Leon returns to profit

Oil company boss Oisín Fanning received more than €1.6 million in pay last year as his San Leon returned to profit.

The company’s annual report shows the overall compensation for the San Leon chief executive was up almost €200,000 on the previous year.

He was paid a salary of €424,000 and a cash bonus of €440,000 as well as shares in the company worth €660,000, the report revealed, with other benefits...
