That was the bill paid by Fáilte Ireland to the Guardian for an advertising campaign fronted by writer Will Self.

Self’s musings on the “sable scimitar-curve” of Dublin’s bay, and the city “cradled in this great bowl of sea and bay and sky” were aimed at affluent and culturally curious tourists....
