Ex-Fatah leader in Irish defamation action against Twitter and Facebook

Palestinian exile and former Fatah leader Mohammed Dahlan has initiated defamation proceedings against Twitter and Facebook in the High Court in Dublin.

The action, lodged last week, relates to the dissemination on social media of allegedly false and damaging claims made about Dahlan in online publication the Middle East Eye in July 2016.

Defamation proceedings are being brought against the web news portal in London arising from an article.
