The country’s best boxers did not make full use of their world-class training centre in the run-up to the Rio Olympics.

The €4 million facility in the National Sports Campus in Abbotstown, Co Dublin, contained a purpose-built boxing centre with five boxing rings, boxing bags and a kit room as well as other advanced gym and running facilities used by all Olympic athletes.
