Power will be restored to all of the nearly 2,000 homes and business affected by last night’s storms before Christmas Day, according to the ESB.

After Storm Eva ravaged the country last night, almost 2,000 households were left with no electricity on Christmas Eve, and the possibility of no power on Christmas Day either.

The counties of Dublin, Meath, Tipperary, Cavan, Cork and Wexford were all affected, with Dublin’s Leeson Street and the Wexford Town...
