Electricity customers are facing a €6 million hike in their bills due to a cost overrun on the state’s electric car project.
The ESB was given a budget of €26 million to roll out a network of over 1,000 public charging points for electric cars as well as fast chargers. The cost was passed onto customers through their electricity bills.
