Enda Kenny: Beacon South Quarter issues due to lack of supervision

€10 million repair bill for Ires Reit and private owners

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has blamed problems at the high-profile Beacon South Quarter development on a “lack of supervision” and “inferior building standards”.

Owners of the Dublin apartments - including a social housing agency and Ires Reit, the country’s largest private landlord - face a €10 million bill to fix fire safety and other structural defects.
