Emergency department nurses defer strike action planned for today
The union will ballot members on new proposals over the next 2-3 weeks
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has agreed to defer the strike action scheduled to take place in seven emergency departments today to allow its members consider new proposals that emerged during talks at the Workplace Relations Commission.
However, the INMO said that strike action planned for January 12 and 26 remains in place and action has only been deferred. It will consult members, and ballot them, over the next two to three weeks.
