The EgyptAir hijacker is "not a terrorist but an idiot," according to Egypt's Foreign Ministry.
Cyprus Police have confirmed that the EgyptAir hijacker's ex-wife, Marina Parashkou, has been taken to participate in negotiations at Larnaca Airport.
President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades also confirmed that EgyptAir flight MS181 hijacking is "not related to terrorism".
