Editorial: Ireland needs to stand alongside Ukraine in its hour of need

The EU has done a lot of growing up in the past ten days. As Vladimir Putin’s tanks rampaged into the sovereign and democratic republic of Ukraine on February 24, the bloc’s notion of its security was transformed in an instant. Nothing will be the same again, because nothing can be the same again.
