The multinational firms that sponsored the government’s Digital Summit were given seats on a group to decide what issues were discussed at the event.

Facebook, Google, Amazon, and Microsoft each paid €40,000 in sponsorship to the Department of the Taoiseach’s event which was held in the Convention Centre on September 20.

The Microsoft-owned LinkedIn paid €10,000.
