Digicel bonds continue to slide as Fitch slams ‘stagnant’ record

The price of new bonds issued by Denis O’Brien’s Digicel fell on their first week of trading, with the telecoms company still under pressure to improve its “stagnant” performance.

Digicel completed a restructuring of $3 billion of debt in recent weeks by asking its creditors to accept new bonds with longer repayment dates to give it time to implement a turnaround strategy.
