Dalata Hotel Group, which is led by the former Jurys Doyle chief executive Pat McCann, reported a 55 per cent rise in pre-tax profits to €44 million last year, when it added seven hotels and around 1,600 rooms to its portfolio. Here are the key points in the results:

- Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose by nearly 36 per cent to €85.1 million
