Construction costs less than half of price of house in Greater Dublin

Construction costs, known as hard costs, come to €150K, just 45 per cent of total while land, margin and VAT comprise the other €180K.

However, the cost of building a new house is 45,000 higher than the median asking price of a three-bed semi in Dublin
