As Britain goes to the polls, voters look set to grant Boris Johnson an early Christmas present: the Brexit he always wanted.

A majority for the Conservatives would lead to Britain leaving the European Union early next year, and the start of complicated and time-limited negotiations on a new trade agreement that will have significant implications for Irish companies trading with our nearest neighbour.
