Collection of census forms to begin today, CSO says

Preliiminary results will be published in July followed by detailed reports next year

Census enumerators will start collecting 2016 census forms around the country today, returning them to census headquarters in Swords, Co. Dublin where they will be stored and scanned with preliminary results due to be issued in July.

The data will then be further analysed and published next year in the form of census reports covering a wide variety of topics, the Central Statistics Office said.
