Coca-Cola Ireland boss slams sugar tax as ‘discriminatory’

The boss of Coca-Cola in Ireland has criticised the sugar tax, describing it as “discriminatory”.

“It started as being a sugar tax. Then it ended up as being a sugar-sweetened drinks tax. It singled out one category in the market which was beverages,” said Petre Sandru, general manager of the Coca-Cola Company in Ireland.
