Solidarity TD Paul Murphy has called for an investigation into the garda probe which led to the prosecution of him and other water protesters for falsely imprisoning former Tánaiste Joan Burton.

Speaking to a large and celebratory crowd of supporters after the men's acquittal at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court today, the deputy thanked the jury - but called into question the garda testimony for the prosecution.
