ASTI will get same deal as other teachers

The ASTI is set to get the same deal as other teachers’ unions after the end of its damaging strike.

Teachers in the ASTI had already lost three days pay due to their industrial action, and were facing further losses.

But even though the ASTI leadership is in talks to resolve the dispute which closed hundreds of secondary schools, the prospect of achieving any gains are understood to be remote.
