Management of the Association of Secondary Teachers Ireland (Asti) face the embarrassing prospect of a strike or industrial action by the trade union’s own staff.

Trade union Siptu, which represents about 20 staff members of the teacher’s trade union, wrote last week to Kieran Christie, Asti general secretary, informing him of the decision.
