WholeWorldBand, the music video app backed by billionaire financier Dermot Desmond, has raised new funds and clinched several new collaborations with major artists.

The app, which allows musicians to interact and record virtually, is currently hosting what it calls “the world’s biggest audition”, led by Public Enemy’s Brian Hardgroove and Stewart Copeland of The Police.
