The American Chamber of Commerce Ireland does not believe Margrethe Vestager’s reappointment as European Competition Commissioner will deter US tech multinationals from investing in Europe, or complicate trade talks with the Trump administration.
Vestager was last week handed a second five-year term in the competition portfolio and gained additional powers to develop digital policy after being promoted to executive vice-president.
