British government gives MPs tight timeframe to discuss Article 50 bill

The British government has published the Bill aimed at giving it the power to trigger Article 50 and begin formal negotiations on leaving the EU.

What happens now?

According to the Houses of Parliament website, MPs in the House of Commons will debate the bill on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
