Video: Visitors from Britain unaffected by Brexit

Market will remain important to industry, say tourism bosses

Tourism Ireland has insisted it is "very much business as usual" post Brexit, with plans to continue its €4 million promotional campaign throughout 2016.

A Brexit briefing organised by the body heard there had been no major change in travel patterns from Britain - one of Ireland's top four markets for overseas tourism.

Feedback from key British travel partners - including carriers and tour operators - bears this out, as does research conducted on behalf of Tourism Ireland by Red C,which indicated there has been little impact on travel intentions in the short to medium term.
