Postcode system will increase direct marketing

Postcodes will herald a new era for direct marketing in Ireland, Stephen Stynes, deputy chairman of the Irish Direct Marketing Association, told the National Marketing Conference last week.

‘‘Postcodes will enable us to identify exactly where people are, and so we won’t have as many returns and it’ll make it easier for us to target particular groups,” he said.
