Petroceltic transfers Greek exploration rights to partners

Company effectively up for sale as part of strategic review

Irish oil and gas company Petroceltic has transferred its share of the exploration rights in the Patraikos Gulf in Greece to consortium owned by Hellenic Petroleum and Edison International, according to reports.

The completion of transaction is subject to the approval of the Greek energy ministry.

Greece awarded the concession to explore the Patraikos Gult to a joint Hellenic, Edison, and Petroceltic venture in July 2013.
