Opposition to ramp up private bills pressure

FF, SF and independents can introduce three new pieces of legislation a week

Opposition TDs are set to bring forward a raft of private bills to increase pressure on the government following its first Dáil defeat last week.

Under the new Dáil rules, the opposition will be able to introduce three new pieces of legislation every week, alongside the government’s own legislation.
