Northern Ireland facing hospital waiting list crisis

It appears long waiting lists are a problem north and south of the border

230,625 people are waiting for a first outpatient appointment

Northern Ireland is also facing a waiting list crisis in its hospitals.

Almost 400,000 people in the North are waiting for either a first outpatient appointment, a diagnostic test, an integrated clinical assessment or an inpatient treatment at hospitals across the country, according to the Belfast Telegraph today.

The total number of people waiting for a first outpatient appointment at the end of September 2015 was 230,625.
