An Irish company raised $100,000 on the US crowdfunding site while gaining validity for its product from the market

In 2013, Galvanic, an Irish digital health start-up, became the first Irish company to raise over $100,000 on US crowdfunding site Kickstarter. Galvanic used the site to raise funds to launch its stress management device, the Pip. The small device fits between the index finger and thumb and, using a unique patented and scientifically proven biosensor, measures the electrodermal activity of its user, a proxy for emotional stress.
