For the last year, I’ve been investigating the case of Mary Boyle, the six-year-old Donegal girl who vanished on her grandparents’ remote farm near Ballyshannon in 1977.

In my career, I’ve worked on several cases of alleged Garda mishandling in homicide investigations, including those of Fr Niall Molloy, Raonaid Murray, Jim Goonan and Shane O’Farrell. By and large, I was stonewalled by the authorities when I asked questions of public interest.
