Irish consumer sentiment rose to a 10-year high in December as a stronger jobs market and increased spending power meant consumers faced into 2016 on a positive note, a new survey showed.

The KBC Bank Ireland/ESRI consumer sentiment index rose to 103.9 in December from 103.1 in November, bringing it to its highest level since January 2006. It was also its third monthly gain in a row.
