The HSE has initiated a groundbreaking project in which patients with epilepsy will have access to genome sequencing to help identify the cause of their condition.

Called the Epilepsy LightHouse Project, it is the HSE’s first step into genomic sequencing.

It is also believed to be the first such programme in this disease area in the world.
