Senior HSE managers were told that pharmacy fees were open to abuse and misunderstanding as far back as 2012, but never acted on those concerns.

The revelations could undermine the HSE’s case against LloydsPharmacy Ireland, which is under investigation by the HSE over the way in which it billed the HSE for medicines it dispensed to patients with medical cards.
