The country is in the midst of yet another housing crisis. Young home buyers cannot get on the housing ladder and those looking for rental properties are experiencing a severe shortage of supply, with rents in urban areas reaching boom time levels.
According to the latest Daft.ie rental report, there were only 3,210 rental properties advertised at the beginning of May compared with 4,300 last year and over 23,000 properties advertised in 2009.
