One of the country’s largest property investors has welcomed the government’s new rules on rents and residential building regulations.

Kevin Nowlan, chief executive of Hibernia Reit, said: “It’s good that the government has finally dealt with the speculation. What they’ve proposed I don’t think is going to particularly damage the market, which is good.”
