Four senior partners in KPMG in Belfast have been placed on immediate administrative leave.

The move follows their arrest and questioning yesterday about allegations of tax evasion.

It is understood the probe relates to their personal tax affairs and centre on accounting for losses made by an investment vehicle.

KPMG is one of the Big Four audit, tax and advisory firms.
