Around €330 million in tax cuts will be announced in October's Budget as the government confirmed the availability of around €1 billion in extra spending power for next year.

The so-called fiscal space is outlined in the summer economic statement, published by finance minister Michael Noonan and public expenditure Paschal Donohoe this afternoon.
