ConnectIreland takes over Startup Ireland

Aim is to attract early-stage, well-funded start-ups to Ireland

IDA-backed body ConnectIreland has announced that it has assumed control of Startup Ireland.

A statement from the organisations said that both strongly believed in making Ireland a global start-up hub by 2020 and have worked closely on this.

ConnectIreland said there had been a significant upsurge in international companies wanting to start or expand in Ireland. Startup Ireland was founded in 2013.
