‘Big jump’ predicted for building sector as Ireland plays catch-up
"Rosy projection over the next number of years” expected at conference
Ireland’s construction sector is set to expand rapidly despite the government’s continuing failure to invest in infrastructure, a conference on the sector’s prospects will be told this week.
The Euroconstruct conference at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium will hear medium-term forecasts for the construction sector in 19 European countries on Friday.
Economist Annette Hughes of DKM Economic Consultants will deliver a “rosy projection over the next number of years”.
