Tipperary convent for sale: asking €100,000

A former Tipperary convent on a five-acre site, whose buildings date back to 1845, is going on sale with a reserve price of just €100,000.

The [former Sacred Heart convent in Roscrea](http://www.auction.co.uk/irish/LotDetails.asp?A=804&MP=24&ID=804000043&S=L&O=A) is one of 130 properties set to be auctioned on October 3rd in Dublin by Allsop Properties. It comprises a large listed former school building plus a former retreat building with tennis courts and car parking facilities.

Among other properties that look to be priced to sell is a two-bedroom vacant flat in Carrick-on-Shannon, [priced at €25,000](http://www.auction.co.uk/irish/LotDetails.asp?A=804&MP=24&ID=804000014&S=L&O=A0).

A [large Georgian house plus mews](http://www.auction.co.uk/irish/LotDetails.asp?A=804&MP=24&ID=804000040&S=L&O=A) on Dublin's Fitzwilliam Place is also on sale with a reserve of €850,000. Four adjacent houses in Walkinstown are on sale collectively at €360,000.

Allsop has said it expects huge interest from some of these properties, especially from overseas buyers.
